Tuesday Wrap: The Isle of Man Reviews the Mainland’s Week

From the Isle of Man, the news this week looks like the setup to a joke. NASA, Mounjaro, Piers Morgan, and Bridge Day walk into a pub. The universe is too big, the bridges are writing wills, the weight-loss drug has killed romance, and a television presenter has walked off set because evidence appeared.

The punchline is: this is Tuesday. This is just Tuesday.

A Reform-Adjacent Summary

The universe is too big: someone should have planned better.
Farmers are at war with Mounjaro: good, the farmers are correct, this is a sovereignty issue involving British appetite.
Piers Morgan walked off set: predictable, cowardly, and somehow still surprising every time.
Bridge Day: do not bomb the bridges, this should not need saying, it is apparently needing saying.
The BBC covered all of it with appropriate seriousness. I am covering it with appropriate comedy. We are both doing our jobs.

On the Isle of Man it rained. The TT is still weeks away. The kippers were good. The news was insane. Some of us are watching from a sufficient distance and writing jokes about it. This is, I believe, a public service.

National villains aside, the nation is fundamentally sound. It is just having a very strange week. Again.
